Fairchild Tropical Gardens Chihuly Exhibition
 Monday, May 1, 2006 (8:30 AM - 3:00 PM)

The buzz is out about Chihuly at Fairchild, and everyone can experience Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptures and Fairchild’s world-renowned plant collections. Admission is 20.00 and includes the bus fare, the Chihuly at Fairchild exhibition, a narrated tram tour offered hourly (subject to availability), plus admission to all garden exhibits. Bracelet Making

Registration Begins Monday April 17th - Learn how to make a silver and crystal bead bracelet. Parkland Library will provide free instruction by jewelry designer, Jane Weidenbenner. Chinese Acrobat & Comedy Family Show

Come join Liang, America’s most famous Chinese acrobat, in her amazing one woman show. Experience the acrobatics, music and culture of China with a touch of comedy. Taste of Parkland

Morikami Origami

Parkland Recreational Lacrosse League Picnic

Pine Trails Park | Family Event

Fahrenheit 451

Synopsis: In Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury's classic, frightening vision of the future, firemen don't put out fires--they start them in order to burn books. Bradbury's vividly painted society holds up the appearance of happiness as the highest goal--a place where trivial information is good, and knowledge and ideas are bad.

Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah

Synopsis: Julia never wanted to go back to their small logging town, where she was the scrawny bookworm and Ellie was the homecoming queen, but now, even though they refuse to admit it, the sisters need each other as they try to save a young girl found in a forest in the company of a wolf. She behaves like an animal and doesn't speak. Through helping this girl, Julia and Ellie learn a lot about themselves. Refreshments served. Please register at (954) 757-4200.

Parkland Little League Baseball Picnic
