Fourth of July Bicycle Decorating Parade
 Tuesday, July 4th (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
Terramar Park | City Event
Fifth annual event hosted by the City of Parkland. The festivities will include music, refreshments, and prizes. Children are asked to decorate their bikes (and strollers for the young ones) in red, white and blue to honor the theme of the day, “Stars and Stripes”. Other fun activities will include a bicycle safety program from B.S.O., along with tours of a police car and a fire engine. Library Zoo Day with McCarthy Wildlife at the Equestrian Center

Children and parents are invited to enjoy a morning of adventure with McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary Inc. at the Equestrian Center. Their unique wildlife program consists of a variety of exotic animals and some members of the audience were be called up to touch the animals. For children of all ages. Registration not required.

Whether you've begun a family tree before or you're just starting, Family Tree Maker will make your task a whole lot easier and a lot more fun. Mary Harrell-Sesniak, Vice President of the Genealogical Society of Broward County, Florida will instruct the class on how to use this software program. Laptops preferred but not required. Synopsis: Take a trip to Mexico and the magical world of Tita De La Garza with a book that has become a classic. It is the story of star-crossed romance between Tita and Pedro. They are torn apart due to a "tradition" held in Tita's family that the youngest daughter is destined to live out her life taking care of her mother. Each chapter also begins with a Mexican recipe. Synopsis: A young Jewish American man endeavors to find the woman who saved his grandfather during World War II in a Ukrainian village, that was ultimately razed by the Nazis, with the help of a local who speaks weirdly funny broken English.

Family Flix: Hook Starring Robin Williams

A high-flying adventure from the magic of Steven Spielberg, Hook stars Robin Williams as a grown-up Peter Pan and Dustin Hoffman as the infamous Captain Hook. Joining the fun is Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell, Bob Hoskins as the pirate Smee, and Maggie Smith as Granny Wendy Darling, who must convince the middle-aged lawyer, Peter Banning, that he was once the legendary Peter Pan. And so the adventure begins anew, with Peter off to Neverland to save his two children from Captain Hook. Along the way, he rediscovers the power of imagination, of friendship, and of magic.
