Film Viewing of The Movie: Titanic
 Friday, October 6 (1:00 PM)
Parkland Library | Seniors Program
Take a voyage back in time to the Titanic! View the movie before you visit the exhibit. Parkland Library will be showing The Titanic, winner of 11 academy awards staring Leonardo Decaprio and Kate Winslet on October 6th at 1:00pm. 
Ice cream will be served. There will be a 15 minute intermission. Registration required. To register for the library program please call (954) 757-4200 to register.

15th Annual Arts & Crafts In The Country Show
 Saturday, October 7 (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Stoneman Douglas High School | Family Event
Spend a day with the Parkland Woman’s Club and over 90 creative quality crafters. Enjoy the handmade crafts, artwork, and festive holiday items; feast on a Kountry Kitchen lunch and Brick Oven Bakery Treats; and try your luck at winning handmade prizes at the Raggedy Ann Raffle table. Proceeds from this fund-raising event will benefit charitable organizations supported by the Parkland Woman’s Club. Admission is free! Titanic Exhibit & Planetarium Show

Parks & Recreation | Seniors Program
Experience the story of the Titanic in ways you have never imagined. The exhibition presents more than 250 artifacts rescued from the ocean floor and exquisite interiors that re-create the magnificence of the doomed ship. The planetarium show showcases the constellations that were out in the night sky the night of the tragedy. Lunch will be at Monty's Grove Restaurant in Coconut Grove, participants will have several items to choose from for their meal (Closed: Registration Full).

Family Flix: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Belly Dance Class

Registration begins October 2nd. Learn sacred art of belly dance with Maja, Girl of the Nile. The dancer will experience basic belly dance slow and fast moves, magical circles, and the secrets of the veil. No experience required. Parkland Library Card holders only. Registration is required. Halloween Spooktacular "Frightnights at the South Florida Fairgrounds"

Annual Library Halloween Storytime and Trick or Treat Walk
 Monday, October 30 (3:30 PM)
Parkland Library | Children's Program
Registration begins October 2nd. Come in costume and celebrate Halloween with spooky stories and songs. We’ll make trick or treat bags and fill them up as we trick or treat throughout the library and City Hall. Children ages 3 and up unaccompanied by adults are welcome. Little spooks 2 and under are invited to trick or treat with the group after the stories and craft. Must be a Parkland Library card holder to attend. Registration required. Call (954) 757-4200.
